SECTIONAL PROPERTIES CALCULATOR

In stress analysis of a member such as torsion of shaft, bending of beam, compression of a column, etc., cross sectional properties usually used to calculate stress and displacement distributions.

Sectional properties calculators are developed to calculate cross section area, second moment of area, section modulus, radius of gyration, center of gravity of the cross section and mass of a beam or column for standard profile types and shapes. Profile types and shapes which can be calculated with the calculators are hollow and solid rectangle, hollow and solid shaft (circle), I, T, C beams (channels).
